Evacuation begins for remain YPG/SDF members in Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud
After agreeing to the evacuation, the militants are transported in a convoy of buses and ambulances. Another faction stationed at a local hospital is later moved to the same location.
Authorities confirm these are the final YPG/SDF fighters leaving the city, marking the clearing of both Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods.
The militants are being relocated to the town of Tabqa, situated along the western bank of the Euphrates River, an area still under YPG/SDF control.
The army halted all operations in Sheikh Maqsoud as of Friday afternoon.
The group had carried out attacks on residential areas, civilian facilities, and military positions since Tuesday, resulting in 23 deaths, over 100 injuries, and the displacement of 165,000 residents from the two neighborhoods.
